There is a lot that needs to be changed in the world, but where and how does one begin? This segment introduces participants to time-tested tools that have been used to create narratives, mobilise communities, sustain interest and get attention from the government. We turn to Marshall Ganz’s model of grassroots organising and understand how we can apply his model to create effective campaigns. Participants get their hands dirty and design campaigns for issues that they are passionate about. Advocacy champions who have mobilized communities and worked extensively with governments are invited to share anecdotes and insights.
