Who are you? How do you identify yourself? How have your personal experiences shaped the way you perceive yourself and the world?
Do you recognize the privileges presented to you? What would you be doing right now if you were born to a landless labourer instead?
Each one of us is born in a unique set of circumstances that define (and often limit) the scope of our options. Unconsciously, however, we often take our privileges for granted and regard our current situation as completely self-determined.
In this segment, we use Identity Maps, Privilege Walks and other exercises to get participants to reflect on their identity and understand the differences in the spread of privileges across modern society. This segment enables participants to make the connection between privileges, capabilities and opportunities.
